Vancouver composers Elisa Thorn (harp/voice) and Robyn Jacob (keys/voice) have joined together to create a miniature super-group where their innovative and subversive compositional techniques come together in a tightly arranged, beautiful collaboration. The unusual blend of harp and piano weave tastefully between each other while the duo place their voices overtop, showcasing their unusual vocal arrangements, and complementary characters. Recently the duo completed a residency at the Banff Centre for the Arts to develop the first of their songs, which investigate the affect joy, and how joy can serve as a radical sentiment in today’s world.
